Product Reviews
You get what you pay for
This worked great for about 8 months then I had to wiggle and turn it around to get it to charge my laptop. Then a month after that the pin that connects to the computer came out of the cord. It was great for the price but now I have to buy a new. This time I'm buying a genuine HP charger.
disappointed
i decided to go the cheaper route since i wasn't sure if it was in fact the adapter or the laptop that was the problem - that & i just wanted to save some money. i should have just spent the money for one from HP in the first place. i received the replacement & knew that it was absolutely cheaper quality the instant i opened it & within a week the adapter quit working. i had to manipulate the cord to get it to start working & from that point on i had to leave my laptop & adapter plugged in & could not move it at all because it would quit working, not even a fraction of an inch. i eventually spent the big bucks for an adapter from HP & am completely satisfied. i guess you really do get what you pay for, that is what i get for trying to save a buck. just spend the extra money for something reliable & from a name you know, it does make a difference especially when it comes to electronics.
Well, I guess you can't ask for much...
A tech guy told me to spend a few more dollars and not get a generic replacement but I went online and saw the actual HP one would take 6-8 days to get to me and this one from Amazon, 2 tops (the HP one was also like $15 more with shipping). So, being both lazy and frugal, I bought this one at the end of May. It died by the end of July--about 58 days later. I guess the Best Buy guy was right.
